do these symptoms make sense to anyone?

We are newbies to this diet. Can anyone help us make sense of these symptoms?

My son (almost 8) has been on the diet for six weeks. He had no intestinal

problems before the diet, except for severe reflux.

In the past week or so, my son has begun to have very loose bowels at each

movement. He has 2-3 bowel movements per day and generally wakes up between

3:00 and 5:00 a.m. to have a bowel movement.

Before the diet, he had no obvious intestinal problems and slept all through the

night. Now we have frequent loose bowels and he is waking up during the night.

We have searched high and low for possible infringements, but can't find any.
