,

has a reflux type reaction to gluten. He also gets extremely

stimmy. I think there's a very good chance this was ' reaction to

the gluten. I would document the symptoms and use for future reference. It

may explain unusual behavior as a slip-up that went uncaught.

You just described what happened to my son when he ate the same type of

pretzels about 1-1/2 weeks ago. Your story was IDENTICAL to ours. Before

my son was GF/CF he used to wake up in the middle of the night and do

exactly as you described. Since GF/CF (just hit one year anniversary), it

went away. UNTIL the recent pretzel slip up (plus 1/2 of a Puffs Cheeto

didn't help the matter either).

It had been so long since an infringement, I had forgotten just how bad it

can be for my son. The next few days also followed with terrible diarrhea

and tons a behavioral issues. Finally, he is back to feeling better and

more normal (whatever that is) after about a week of this. IMHO it sounds

like a gluten reaction.....plus if your little one is corn-free too, the

pretzels contain corn syrup.......and corn is another thing my son reacts

to, almost on the scale of how he reacts to gluten. I bet he will be

feeling better very soon.
