Guest guest
Something between April and August caused TSI to rise. If Armour is the only thing you added, it's certainly suspicious. The iodine in Armour or levothryoxine for that matter could be the problem if you're especially sensitive to iodine. Since you feel good, I suggested waiting to change anything in my last post. But seeing these labs, it sounds like your ATD dose was making you hypo, and Armour was added in B & R to help achieve more stable labs. Seeing that your TSI went up, it seems like you might want to instead go with a lower dose of the ATD and repeat your thryoid function tests in 4 weeks to see if the dose is right. Then repeat the TSI in 2-3 months to see if it improved. Take care, Elaine
Guest guest
Hello, Elaine, It was my intuition before I got the TSI results to drop the Armour and simplify everything by just adjusting the ATD by itself. My doctor and I agreed that if the TSI was still up there, (although, we did not imagine that it would be quite so high), that I would drop the Armour since it wasn't having the desired effect of bringing me close to remission. I understand that this is what you are now saying, right? Just drop the Armour and go with the MMI for four weeks and see if my levels are good, then test for TSI, again, in three months? Thank you. Guest guest
Hello, Elaine Sorry to have to make you repeat yourself. I want to be sure I understood you. I stopped taking the Armour, this morning, and am taking the 10mg of MMI, 5 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. I am glad that you still find the time to help us who are unable to find a knowledgeable doctor to help us. Thank you.
