Hi,

Just wanted to add that, at least for my son, a lot of the grief over the

haircut is a sensory problem -- he doesn't like the water when it sprays on

him, he doesn't like the falling hair to tickle his arms, he doesn't like

the tickly feeling of the scissors or especially the buzzer. I've found

that right before I take him in to the hair dresser's, I take a soft baby

brush (or use a towel, whatever I have handy) and brush his neck area

several times. It seems to help de-sensitize him a bit and he doesn't react

as badly during the haircut. Of course, I usually go with long sleeves, if

possible, or I make sure that the cape covers his arms.
