Guest guest
I just called the company and the person double-checked this information. 1. Pringles are not dusted with wheat flour, or any flour. The person I spoke with never heard such a thing in regards to Pringles chips so went to double-check. 2. Fat Free Original Pringles DO NOT contain gluten. The regular Pringles flavors do. Fat Free have corn starch instead of the wheat starch. The Fat Free BBQ do contain gluten, but not the Fat Free Original or the Fat Free Sour Cream (but sour cream contains casein and artificial flavors). 3. Pringles do use real potatoes as well as potato flour. 4. The do not have designated manufacturing lines, but all equipment, brushes, etc. is sanitized/sterilized and the floor bleached whenever a different product or flavor is run. I was told they are very sensitive to allergy issues, and they don't want any cross- contamination between their own flavors and ingredients. So, FAT FREE ORIGINAL PRINGLES ARE GFCF. But if you are not comfortable eating something, you are just not comfortable eating it, and that is just as good a reason as any. .
