Guest guest
* Hi Judy, my son has been GFCF for 1 year and 1 month now. I did the same as you, first eliminated the casein and then the gluten. No withdrawls and no overly dramatic changes, but yes, he did show improvements in many areas that weren't really noticeable to I said " wow, he would have.............before " . Frustration level was improved, a fog seemed to have lifted and he loves to learn now and is very capable of learning. He had 16 ear infections in his first 5 years of life prior to this diet, and only 1 in this last year. His severe eczema that he had for over 5 years cleared up 98%, red ear flaps are gone and rosy cheeks are gone. One thing you need to do is have your child allergy tested to make sure you are not feeding your child any foods that are a problem to himself. Allergy tests are the only tests I did for this diet, and I found out he had allergies to soy, milk, wheat, pork, peanuts, rice, chocolate, and cashews. Once all of these items were eliminated totally from his diet I noticed even further improvements. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you choose to do. Yes, it is true this diet doesn't work for every child, but again you only have been GF for 4 months and sometimes it does take longer to achieve results. on Long Island New York * On Sat, 19 May 2001 04:26:05 -0000 blystone@... writes: ..
