Hi there Dawn Rose!

First off, let me give my own welcome to another newbie. :-) I'm fairly recent

here myself so I don't typically weigh in on a lot of the questions a lot of

folks have since I'm on the Graves learning curve myself. Glad that you found

this place though....it is truly a wealth of information!

As to your query about how to get those stubborn pounds off, I do know that if

you go to the about.com site and search for their thyroid section, (hosted by

Shomon - hope I've spelled it right!) you will find a ton of articles over

there that deal with the whole weight loss question. Now a lot of them relate to

being hypothyroid as that generally seems to be one of the biggest factors in

putting on weight, but even if you aren't hypo at this point in time, I think

you will the articles informative and helpful.

Wish I could give you a direct link Dawn Rose, but I just recently reformatted

my hard drive and I lost my AOL filing cabinet that had ALL the info I had saved

from the group. Would everybody mind reposting all that you might have sent over

the last 4 months? LOL

Don't give up....a couple of folks here have shared how they too put on some

weight during the course of their treatment, and while it was often a slow

process in getting it off, with persistence and being kind and patient to

yourself it can happen!

I'm still trying to lose some of my excess baggage myself.....but I am one of

the Graves people who didn't lose any over the course of it's development. And

of course it's just peeling off of me centimeter by centimeter. But I shall

persevere. :-)

Have a great day and see you around the boards!
