There is a lot of misinformation in this email, including the above statement. Althought I am sure the author meant well, the author is misinformed. Guest guest Posted August 28, 2003 Report Share Posted August 28, 2003 Mirela, I know the numbers. 0.2-0.5% of patients on ATDs will experience serious adverse effects. This means RARE. Your statement, however, would falsely lead people to believe that 50 of 10,000 patients taking ATDs will die from the drug! Also, agranulocytosis IS a serious condition, but you state that it is irreversible, and that is simply not true. If you have data to support either one of these claims, I will surely read it.
