Guest guest
Hi Barb, I suppose it is possible that you could be allergic to flaxseed oil - or that the oil had gone bad... or that it just didn't agree with you straight up on an empty stomach... If you try it again, I would suggest that you mix it in with food this time... and maybe start with 1/2 a tablespoon first. Or try the capsules and see how you do with those? Pam B. Guest guest
Hi Barb- Well that last post explained the gas! Here's my .02 on flax seed oil: I have had a hard time digesting beta carotene since I was overdosed on tapazole (symptoms are dark orange color around eyes and mounth - the darker the less beta carotene my body is processing). Cod liver oil, salmon oil and regular food give me orange circles around my eyes. So I tried flax seed oil and the dark circles dissapeared. Yes, my digestion seemed upset but even with a small amount regularly showed improvement for my eyes and the discoloring. I used the capsules. Note- from liver pannels dating back to the overdose- using INFLAMX made the most improvement in my liver ATL phos levels but didn't completely get rid of the discoloring. It's expensive stuff (at $50 per 10 days) and the diet that goes with it is difficult if you don't usually eat like that. My next " liver cleanse " will be a compination of the Inflam-X, diet and flax seed oil. Sherry DiaX in August '02 Overdosed on tap in Oct. '02 Spent 8 weeks healing. Started tap on the suggestion of a group member in Jan. '03 Been on 10mgs tap for 6 months. Been feeling great ever since! Finally found a real endo in MN and he's willing to work with me on tap.
