Guest guest
Hi Barb, Elaine just left for a week so she will not see this till much later. I have never see anything advising against this procedure, but you know I am just a patient that pays attention 'most' of the time. ( Grin) Did you find anything really cool where you did a search on it ? I wana see too :-) I wonder who else ???? Maybe U ? -Pam L-
Guest guest
> My daughter has been directed by a pediatric > neurologist to have an MRI of her cervical spine. How does this kind of MRI work? I had one for a compressed disk 8 years ago and was slid headfirst into the machine and of course it was only then that I realized how claustrophobic I was. So do check this out so you can properly prepare her. (Then again, this would be no big deal for my daughters who did some serious caving in camp one year.) Funny story (and I already sent it to Readers Digest ;-), don't know if I've shared it, but I chose an oldies station for " background music " while in the MRI. The first song was.... " Rescue Me. Guest guest
Hi Barb, Having an MRI sounds like a good idea. Other than the claustrophic feeling Fay mentioned, your daughter shouldn't be bothered by it, and it's a great diagnostic tool. I don't suspect it will show anything but it's always good to be on the safe side. Take care, Elaine
