Hello,

I have some questions regarding my labs and dosage of PTU. Here is

the rundown,

April 4

TSH <0.004 ref 0.3-5.5

FT4 19.6 ref 4.5-12.0

May 19

TSH <0.011 ref 0.3-5.0

FT4 5.30 ref .71-1.85

T3 6.99 ref .51-1.65

I started taking PTI 150 mg a day after my labs on May 19th (first

visit to endo) He also did the full chem 7 and CBC prior to me taking

PTU.

June 5

TSH <0.011 ref .3-5.0

FT4 2.23 ref .71-1.85

June 23

TSH <0.011 ref 0.-5.0

FT4 1.35 ref .71-1.85

T3 2.67 ref .51-1.65

July 23

TSH <0.011 ref 0.3-5.5

FT4 0.5 ref .71-1..85

Today, the nurse called and the endo wants to me to decrease my dosage

to 100 mg a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. I have

asked the endo about running a TSI and he said that " we know you

already have Graves Disease " so basically he was saying that is was

pointless. I had the uptake and scan (before I found this site and

truly read up on it and before I saw the endo) and an ultrasound. The

uptake showed 68%, no nodules and the ultrasound was clear. I had all

the classic Graves Disease symptoms. I was diagnosed 6 months after

the birth of my son. To the credit of my endo, he has not suggested

RAI, which I won't have. But, I thought his reaction to me asking

about the TSI was wierd. Anyways, I am hoping that you will give me

your insights into all this.

Thanks,

Schwartz
