Guest guest
Hi Liz, Many of the male RSS kids have hypospadiius and shawl scrotums that can lead to urinary track infections. I can't speak for the female RSS kids. Braeden will need hypospadius surgery in the near future. We are waiting on weight gain and for his lungs to get stronger. We just don't want to put him in the hospital for surgury that can wait at the risk of picking up an infection. If I remeber correctly RSS kids can be at risk for kidney tumours when they have assymetry. I believe they are called " Wilms tumours " . You can have an ultrasound done to check the kidneys. Although, I beleive Salem posted a few weeks ago that they have found RSS kids are " not " at a risk of wilms tumours. Hopefully, she will have more info once the convention is over.
