Their wide, flat rice noodles make a great substitute for the egg noodles that I used to use for chicken & noodles and for Beef Stroganoff. Ben loves them and so do I. hooray for finding decent substitutes for old favorites. Now if anyone can find a GFCF recipe for " real " German type dumplings...I'll be a happy camper. Guest guest
Yes, they were in the Asian food section. I also saw the instant packs at my HFS-but it's really not a health food, they just had it in their GF section. ate them by themselves. Just the noodles with the flavored broth on it. The noodles are long. I broke them prior to cooking. You just microwave the noodles and 1 C of water for 2 minutes and add the little seasoniong packet. It's alot like those Top Ramen noodles, only the noodles are long and flat. Guest guest
I live in Texas -where can I get those? Are they sold in HFS? I have a real problem with my daughter liking rice. She will eat corn pasta but she won't eat rice and when we were pre diet she would eat lo mein. So I am wondering if she will eat this. Believe it or not she will not eat other rice pasta's - I am always looking for another way to sneak stuff in. Plus something else we can eat as a family. Jeneane, We get GFCF soups packaged like Ramen noodle soups at the local HFS only they cost about 80 cents a piece. The plain noodles are available in the ethnic food aisle of our supermarket; and one day we're going to head out to an Asian grocery store we've heard about which is bound to be the cheapest source.
