Guest guest
I verified this ingredient with Judy DeHart, the editor of the GFCFDiet website a few months back. I had been using white cake mix from Deietary Specialties and this popped up as an ingredient. She sent me a response stating inpart that it was vegetable derivied. She gave me a quote from the source she researched. We have continued using the cake mix and also use Rich's with no problem. The Rich's I have is parve also, so it definitly would not have dairy. Hope this helps a bit. WendiD Rich's Coffee Rich > Can anyone verify if this product is GFCF? I bought > some today, although I'm concerned about the sodium > steryl lactylate in the ingredients. Guest guest
Thanks Wendi! So here's the awesome candy recipe. This was my great grandmother's recipe, but I think it will work great if we sub Rich's for the cream. Rice Crispie Candy 4 C GFCF corn flakes 4 C GFCF rice crispies 2 C salted peanuts (I'll use cashews) 2 C coconut Mix together in bowl. In saucepan, mix: 1 1/2 C sugar 1 1/2 C dark corn syrup 1 C cream (I'm going to sub Rich's Coffee Rich) Boil to hard ball stage (on candy thermometer), then pour over cereal mixture and stir. Spread out over waxed paper to cool. This was a favorite in my family around Christmas time. You could put some in a baggie and carry in your purse for that chance encounter with the Big Bad Ice Cream Man. > I verified this ingredient with Judy DeHart, the editor of the GFCFDiet > website a few months back. Guest guest
It's been awhile since I called them, but I was told (via letter too), that it is indeed GFCF. It's been about 4 months. a > Can anyone verify if this product is GFCF? I bought > some today, although I'm concerned about the sodium > steryl lactylate in the ingredients.
