Guest guest Posted September 8, 2003 Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 Hi Terri, If your thyroid hormone levels were a bit higher, it would slow the thyroid gland down a bit and lower antibody production in any remaining thryoid cells. With your high TBII, your TSH is likely to be falsely decreased and not a good indicator of your thryoid status. FT4 has a reference or normal range of 0.8-1.8 and FT3 has a range of 230-420. Having your FT4 and FT3 near the high end of the normal range would help. So would stress reduction as you mentioned. And so would avoiding cigarette smoke, saturated fats, sugar, iodine, aspartame, etc and focusing on a nutrient-rich diet.
