Guest guest
Hi, I have heard the same as Barb. Sore throat, fever, sign of infection...run to get a blood test that day, and do not take meds until results are in. Getting them back STAT is a great idea, and I would insist on it (in fact, I'd have to, as I can't take it for granted that they will do it ASAP). If it is a drop in WBC (which can be rapid), that can be life threatening, and so skipping a dose or two if need be is definitely the wiser choice. The same goes for any serious adverse reaction to the medication (i.e. drug-induced lupus, skin ulcers, vasculitis). Thankfully, these reactions are very rare, but one needs to be cautious. Just thought I'd pipe in. At 05:28 PM 8/12/2003, you wrote: >I have never heard anyone else say that you don't have >to stop the ATD's until you get a test result that >shows you have to.
