This is a big point in your dr.'s favor, that he's having you split it

properly (though many people, myself included, do well taking it twice a

day). Still, this is extremely high, for very long. Most people start at

30 and can reduce it to 25 within a month or two.

This sounds very high for FT4 but then again, without your lab ranges for

the norm I don't know.

I bypassed beta blockers but don't recommend it. If I were you I would

take them, but only if your dose were lowered.

The reason I asked is that your dr. got me nervous - keeping you at such

a high dose for so long. First sign of an incompetent doc, which many, if

not most of us have experienced, and there does come a point where it's

impossible to try to educate these bozos. I thought that someone here may

be able to recommend another dr. for you if it came to that.

Have you eliminated caffeine and obvious sources of iodine from your

diet? This may help also.

I bypassed beta blockers but don't recommend it. If I were you I would

take them, but only if your dose OF ATD (not the beta blocker - don't

know what dose you're on) were lowered.
