I think it has gluten in it. It's quite possible. Many of the more expensive papers and some printer papers have coatings on them which may include corn or wheat starch. ---------------------------------------------- Jay Bigam Marketing and Information Technology Manager Kinnikinnick Foods Inc. www.kinnikinnick.com Toll Free: 1-
Guest guest
Does anyone know if paper has gluten in it. Any kind of paper- writing paper, packaging paper. My daughter has been 5-6 weeks GFCF. Lately I noticed she has been chewing little pieces of paper. I don't think she swallows it because when I ask her to spit it out she will - begrudingly. I think it has gluten in it. She has been more irritable and moody lately. Plus her speech is not as fluid and connected as it was initially on the diet. It's not a quanity thing more of quality thing. Any ideas? I'm looking for a DAN doctor to help me do some of the other allergy testing but I suspect she also has some other food allergies. Guest guest
My daughter eats paper and cardboard. It's supposed to be an iron deficiency. We're waiting for her blood tests to come back to see if that's the case or not. If your child has aborbtion problems, (which most asd kids do) anemia test will likely come back positive. They'll want to put your kid on some iron supplement that's lethal if misdosed. Put your kid on a multi with iron and your probably fine. I think it's just oral stimming. used to chew cardboard. Sometimes he swallowed it, other times, would spit the pieces out. That's a big distinction. Is the child eating the stuff or just chewing on it? Pat in Ohio
