Guest guest
Hi All, I was wondering if one of our Canadian parents could reach out to a mother that just called me. --Her name is Lee Ann. She lives in Alberta, 2 hours away from Calgary. --Her 3 year old son weighs 16 pounds and is 31 " tall. --He was diagnosed with RSS at 17 months, tested POSITIVE for UPD-7 --Her pediatrician seems to be leaving his medical care up to the parents, and says that Americans are much more aggressive about treating RSS. SHe has not yet decided whether she wants to fill her Periactin prescription. Her son's doctor also said that GHT is an option, but is not pushing for it. I think Lee Ann would like to talk with another Canadian parent, since you will understand how the health system works better. Please email me at rss2katy@... if you can reach out to her. I'll give you her phone number/email (although their computer crashed). I am also trying to encourage her to join the listserve. THANKS! kATY
Guest guest
Hi Katy! I would love to talk with this mom!!! We're also about 2 hours from Calgary so depending on which direction of the city she's located we could be very close or else only a few hours apart. I also have the calling plan that's for 24 hours a day so it's not an extra burden for us. Our kids also seem very similar with Olivia being 18lbs and 33 " at 4.75 years old. Please give her my phone # if she want's to make the first step or you can send me her's if long distance calling is a problem for her during the day... Boy, I hope you can understand this, I'm a little excited right now!
