Hi ,

Great quote.

Yes, your plan to reduce to 15 mg carb sounds good. You should be noticing

the maximum effects of the meds 6-8 weeks after starting meds. The dose should

then be slowly reduced. Eventually, you'll want to be on a maintenance dose in

the range of 2.5-10.0 mg daily. And keeping your FT4 somewhere around 18 is a

good plan. With your next labs, and before reducing your dose again, ask for

the FT3 test. Sometimes, FT3 can be much higher than FT4 and it can also take

longer to fall. If it's normal, you wouldn't need it done everytime you have

labs. Take care, Elaine

Hi ,

I personally think that you shouldn't reduce your dose until you are in the

normal range--but you're moving fast towards it, so should check your levels

frequently.
