Guest guest
Hi Stella!! My grandson, , uses Genotropin. Dr H said that it isn't a brand of GH that she normally prescribes, but that it was fine to use. She, also, warned us to use the Genotropin with the mixer, and a syringe and Inject-ease, instead of the pen device, so that we could get more exact dosing. Hope this helps!! Guest guest
Stella, the good news is that virtually all of the growth hormone brands are biosynthetically identical. Different doctors choose different brands probably based more on the relationship they have with their sales rep, and their bridge programs. So don't worry too much about the " brand " of Genotropin itself. The key thing is that each pharmaceutical company has bridge programs, let's say you have a change in insurance and with the delay in processing, you might run out of GH. Your GH company will usually ship you a free month's supply -- and your doctor can organize this for you (hence going with who your doctor has a relationship with is KEY).
