Iodine is it too much or too little?

Hi

Does anyone know is it to much iodine or to little iodine if you have a goitre

with graves. My daughter has one and when she started the medication we had been

told it would get smaller and go away but she has been on medication since Feb

and it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
