Guest guest
This year was a little different for me. I wasn't always sure what to do with myself, and I was very tired. It was a great break from life here at home. I enjoyed seeing so many old friends and making new ones! My husband had the best time he has ever had at any convention. (due to Poker!) For Storm and the rest of us the convention is our yearly trip to normal. We are not different when we are with so many of you taking the same journey with so many similar issues. Here at home we are different. We don't know any other kids who take shots or meds every day, or who have to be careful to eat snack often so the blood sugars don't drop, or.... well you all know! So once again we took our trip to normal and it was wonderful. things I learned: 1>Andronarche is not the devil and will not stop my son from growing suddenly we have time to catch it!!! 2>If growth velocity does not increase as it should, the gh should be adjusted wether there is weight gain or not! (this one was personal to Storm!) 3>If he does end up really short, it doesn't matter, because really short people are awesome!!!!! One of the best times I had was with Kim from land! We took her to the grocery store in Patti's vehicle (thank you Patti!!!) My kids never once asked her about having RSS or being short, they asked if she had milk or eggs in land, and if they ate with forks and spoons. (to which she said no, they use their hands! lol!) Thank you so much Kim for entertaining my kids so! They loved their time with you! OH! One more thing I learned this year! Well a few all mixed up together! Come a day early, bring a babysitter and leave later in the day on Sunday!!!!! Bringing a babysitter is the biggest one!!! Blessings to all, Carmen, mom to Paisley 11 going on 20 and Storm 8y11m, RSS, 51 pounds, and 48 inches, prevacid, reglan, gh, flovent and albuterol as needed!
