Guest guest
Sharon- You are sooo funny. It has been a terrible day! And then you... You always have the most wonderful sense of humor! I think that has been one of the few times I have smiled all day. I came back from the convention to hear that my little boy Braxton may now be having seizures (and as if I need any more stress in my life!) and Hannah has been having fits left and right and hasn't eaten well since we saw Dr. Harbison. I think she is grieving the loss of her 6 cans of Pediasure a day...UGH!!! Well any way today you are my praise report because at least my day ended with a big grin and a chuckle. I think that must be the # 1 reason that God put you here is just to make everyone around you feel good again. You are such a wonderful, warm hearted, caring individual... not to forget your incredible personality. I think I just need to borrow you for a while- What do you think about Oklahoma? Guest guest
Hi - Geesh, it sounds like you've had one stinky day, huh? But...tomorrow's always bound to be better. And if not tomorrow, then the day after tomorrow. Oklahoma huh? Been there. Visited a friend in Tulsa, oh, I guess it was about 3 or 4 years ago. Nice place. But I kinda like 10 miles east of Walt Disney World better. Much better <wink>. How about Y'ALL come down HERE and visit ME, instead of the other way around? I'll teach the kids how to fit into teeny-tiny spaces.....<G> -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up > Sharon- > You are sooo funny. It has been a terrible day! And then you... Guest guest
:-) Those pictures are GREAT!! Thank you so much for sharing them with us. It was wonderful seeing you (I never really introduced myself, except to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your posts!) at the convention. It is very cool that you make light of your size and have fun with life...that really does help me to be more optimistic about my son's future. I know that having the right attitude makes a huge difference...I hope I can always be the sort of positive influence that gives him the confidence and reassurance to be himself and make the best of everything. For some reason that seems to be an inherent characteristic of all these kids...(and grown ups too)! Look forward to seeing you again next year (and perhaps Joe as well)! Mom to (1 yr old RSS) and 5 yrs p.s. joshua is the one who kept wiping snot across his face when you wanted to take his picture!!

Guest guest
- Of course I remember you! And 's stubborn booger <wink>. Take a look at Leah's pictures, if you don't believe me <G>. > It is very cool that you make light of > your size and have fun with life...that > really does help me to be more optimistic > about my son's future. I know that having > the right attitude makes a huge difference... > I hope I can always be the sort of positive > influence that gives him the confidence and > reassurance to be himself and make the best > of everything. OK...dead serious now (someone take a picture or something....seriousness doesn't occur frequently <wink>). Back in high school, I used to make light of my height so that I could be " the first one " ...it's no fun to make fun of someone if they've already made fun of themselves <G>. But as I've gotten older, I've realized that I truly am at peace with my height. 99% of the time it doesn't bother me. Granted, I have my " moments " ...when I can't reach something, when I see a pair of shoes or clothing I like that will never fit me, when people stare at me and/or call me " cute, " etc. But those moments, although frustrating, are fleeting and honestly, they don't happen very often. So nowadays, the making fun of my height is much more based in " it doesn't bother me, it shouldn't bother you, " and, since I'm a ham (have I mentioned that I'm not shy? <G>) it's a good springboard to get a laugh. I know that my parents had a HUGE influence in how I am and how I respond to my environment. I wish I could tell you what they did, so that all you parents could " train " your kids the same way, but it was VERY subtle, over MANY years. I'm just glad that it worked. -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up > :-) Those pictures are GREAT!! Thank you so much for sharing them > with us. Guest guest
I showed my daughter Destiny (RSS) the " just because I can picture " She thought it was hysterical. An looking at your smile in the picture and at her laughing on the chair next to me, I could see her all grown up. Thanks! Just because I CAN! By request <G>. Slowly but surely we've been buying stuff and decorating it, turning it into a home. After searching for about a year for the " perfect " entertainment center, we finally picked this one: http://www.buhlerfurniture.com/8370_8470_8570.htm It arrived this past spring and while we were setting it up, I requested that Joe take the following pictures of me: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v143/geekydweeb/P5130180.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v143/geekydweeb/P5130179.jpg Just because I CAN! <grin!> -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up
