Guest guest
Hi Thank you for replying. I had been wondering about the beta blocker and wondered what they did when people have asthma. Did your asthma get worse when you started on a ATD or not. I have flaxseed oil here as my son had been taking for his eczema but he hates the taste so thought I would try the capsules does it make any difference if you take the oil or the tablet do you know. Take care Carole Carole--Graves' and asthma Hi Carole, I wanted to make a couple of comments on your post to Elaine (and count on her to give you a more definitive answer). For me having asthma and Graves' meant I had to take an alternative heart medicine, a calcium channel blocker rather than a beta blocker, as the latter made me feel I was gasping for air. I also believe the flaxseed oil I take for Graves' helps my asthma too. I also had a high eosinophil reading during my first three months of treatment, which then dropped back into the normal range (I'm on PTU rather than carbimazole). I was told it had to do with an allergic reaction (or maybe the Graves' itself). Best wishes, B.
