Calcium and magnesium are often recommended for " calming " and helping the nervous system. Zinc and Folic Acid are occassionally helpful in calming too. Guest guest Posted June 21, 2001 Report Share Posted June 21, 2001 I am sorry it has taken me so long to reply. My daughter has been taking GABA for several months now with wonderful results. She was previously on risperdal- which we were able to wean her off of once we started the GABA.
