Guest guest
Hey , Dr. H told us she wanted us started on Humatrope and to use a syringe. I didn't question her because we were out of time...it was our convention consultation. It is my understanding that there are no differences between each GH. That your endo will usually choose the one that he is most familiar with and has a good relationship with that drug rep. I'm sure if I am mistaken someone will let us know. le, mom to: Shye, Brock, and Coby (rss) & Carlee
Guest guest
Correct, there are really no differences between the various GH. The reason Dr H prefers a syringe (rather than a pen device for example) is because the syring allows for more specific amounts of gh. Since so many of " our " children are tiny, she wants to be more specific with dose. As the children get bigger, it is not as much of an issue. Guest guest
GHs are biosynthetically the same. From my experience with so many of you calling us/MAGIC, the most important decision is who your physician has a relationship with. Most physicians will have a favorite company/sales rep. This matters because if your insurance changes, etc., your doctor and the GH company and the provider (the pharmacy) will be the ones that often will go to battle for you (and give you free GH while the battle rages on). So ask your physician who he prefers using. Harbison uses Eli Lilly mostly. Geffner at Childrens in LA uses Pharmcia. You can't go wrong. > > I have noticed that each of your children are on different growth > hormones.
