Guest guest
If you're not insured you may want to go on the generic Methimazole, just make sure to ask what brand the pharmacy carries. It's not that much. In my experience (this is personal and may not be true, maybe I just got a bad batch) Par brand works, Eon doesn't. Guest guest
Jae, When I was on Tap, I was uninsured and I believe it cost me $40 a scrip. I gained a few pounds on Tap, but I was not overweight nor morose. It has been two years since I took RAI and I still have not found the optimum dose of replacement to keep me stable. Easy to treat...not. Post RAI, I am overweight and am one of the 15% the Bartalena study describes as having worsening eye disease. As a matter of fact, I am one of the 5% who has it in the severe form now. You can see before and after pics of me and read my thyroid history at the link below. If you would like, print out my pics and see what your doc says about it! RAI is a crap shoot. I gambled and lost big time....but I was never made aware of the possible contraindications. Be smarter than me, do your homework. Should answer the question if you look at all of them. DO price compare at all drug stores in your area. The prices change each month. Find one store that price matches, and make the price phone calls each month before purchase. Oterwise the store will not price match. If not done, that $88 Cosco price will most likly be about $125. -Pam L- 3 1/2 years Graves', TED, and PTU. Remission due to SLOW reduction of PTU (despite an incompetent endo ! ), improved lifestyle, excellent nutrition, herbs, and looking at the big picture. Pills alone only help the symptoms. We must help our bodies to heal.
Guest guest
, Your story online left me speechless. My question to you and others: What are the chances of eye involvement with Graves while taking ATDs? In three years, will my eyes be bulging? Guest guest
I see none of that made it through Yahoo. I shall try differently. http://www.costco.com Click of prescription pricing. But remember Costco is very cheap compared to other stores. On their site, and others, you will find drug prices online. I am speaking of known pharmacies, not those weird through the mail ones that may or may not send you the 'real' thing. On my other computer, I have several local drug store chains in a file. I can check prices on each one. They have alphabetical lists, and you just find the ones you are taking . It is a real education. -Pam L-
