Guest guest
It sounds like classic withdrawal symptoms from removing gluten. Hang in there, it's a good sign that she's having withdrawals, which means she'll probably benefit from the diet. It gets better after about a week or two. Guest guest
Ok, I've cut all gluten out and have been using rice in it's place for 2 days now. DD has never had much rice. She is much, much worse. She's hitting, throwing tantrums, yelling back at us. Is this a good indication she's allergic to rice? My guess is yes. Thanks, Dawn
Guest guest
My understanding is that she is probably in withdrawal from the gluten. It is like a drug for our children. Taking it away can cause withdrawal symptoms like you describe. She is most likely not allergic to rice. Someone else may be able to say it better. We are pretty new to this! Hang in there...you are going to see some big improvements soon...at least I would expect it! Guest guest
Thanks everyone, I'm not sure I'll still be sane in a week or two. I really hope her withdrawal symptoms don't last that long!
