Guest guest
Yep, it definitely sounds like the Pediatrician did the calculations based on a female. There isn't a chart out there that would caluclate your son below the 15% bracket. Was he doing a comparison on his growth, and noted that he was once in the 15%? Have you seen an Endocrinologist to talk about GH therapy for him? Just curious, becasue we are going in for our 3rd evaluation on our son's 2nd B-day to check his bone age again and determine if we want to start it. Right now he is a candidate because he has been under the 3% percentile forever with no height or weight inprovements. But, if we decide to do it I want to make sure we make an informed decision. I would like some input on GH from you all. When did you start GH? Which GH are you using or did you use? Was there noticeable growth improvement after starting it? My son is 3 yrs. old, 26.5 lbs., and is 35 in. tall. When our pediatrician plots his height on the computer, it comes out just below 15th percentile (does this sound right?). However, we just got Jack's write-up from the geneticist, and she has him down as just below 5th percentile (and he definitely measured 35 in. in her office)! Very confusing. Anywhere to do the calculations on the Internet? Thanks! Marcy
