Cindy,

Because the kits used in the lab are from different manufacturers,

although they are all measuring the same thing, the normal range

will be different from manufacturer to manufacturer. There are two

motheds are used in most of labs, one is using radioiodine while the

other uses immunofluresence. Even with the same mothed, due to the

calibration of the standard, normal range still can vary.

So it is best to post the normal range along with your lab results

to faciliate the interpretation. Hope this information helps.
