Oleoresin paprika is used as a natural food dye to color foods such as hot dogs, pepperoni, sausages, also snack foods and food coatings. The paprika pod is finely ground, made into a concentrated liquid, and then added to either SOY or CANOLA OIL. Although not much is needed to achieve the desired color in foods, there is still the risk of cross contamination of soy and corn.
