Guest guest
I am not sure there are too many of us on here, but I am wondering about how your kids are doing with the J tube. got his J tube placed on September 1 and has spit up everday since getting it. He usually spits up one to two times per day now. When he had the G tube, he was spitting up, but somedays he would not. We found that he was aspirating, so our options where J tube or Nissen. Dr. H recommended that we try the J tube first. Anyway, the spitting is worse now. My question is, since he is not spitting up formula, is this supposed to be better? I mean, I would think he would still be aspirating this stuff that he is getting up. Now, is this better if he aspirates this? It really doesn't make much sense to me, but maybe someone else knows better than I. I am worried about him still aspirating. I certainly don't want to have to put him through the Nissen though. Especially since I hear that sometimes it just doesn't work. UGH! I am just looking for a little advice and insight I guess. Any help or thoughts would be warmly accepted. Meribeth, are you reading this!? ) TIA, Jodi R. 's mommy
