Guest guest
Has anyone used this product? I got it at Whole Foods. I assumed it was like serein-aid or Enzyme-aid. It actually worked when he had infractions and he did not wake up in the night. I did read some posts about kids getting hyper from these products but then it went away. I noticed the week that I started using this product my son had the hardest time falling asleep and I finally put 2 and 2 together. Any experiences out there. Guest guest
Leslee, I have looked at it at our health food store. It seems to be an all- around general digestive product: Lipase - to digest fat substances, Amylase - to digest starches, Protease - to digest proteins, Cellulase - to digest celluloses, Lactase - to digest dairy products. The activities do not seem to be very high/capsule as compared to some of the other products available. But if it works for you, it works. It has been out for many years. Enzymes are long known to help allergies, gastro-bowel problems, heal leaky gut, fight yeast, and other things. Products like HN-Zyme Prime, SerenAid, and EnzymAid also work on a variety of food types. So it depends on what the " infraction " is, the timing, price of product, etc. Peptizyde is designed as a powerful protein degrader, to break up proteins in general and the casein protein specifically. So you wouldn't want to use it for a meal high in fats, for example. But you would want it if a meal or snack had some gluten/casein in it. SerenAid also contains some of the specific protease known to cleave the casein bond. SerenAid has more different types of enzymes, whereas Peptizyde contains more casein breakers and is streamlined for the gluten/dairy breakdown. Yea! for you and your son. After following all the posts on the trouble of going to church, family's house, park, etc. that is the main reason I started enzymes. Just to be able to have some breathing room with the diet, and not be in panic mode when you try to go somewhere. How often are you using AbsorbAid? Glad you can verify the hyperness and that it went away. There is some thought that the hyperness could be due to increased awareness the child needs to adjust to. That is what happened at my house. Tantrums, stimming and general crabbiness decreased big time. . > Has anyone used this product? I got it at Whole Foods. I assumed it was > like serein-aid or Enzyme-aid.
