Guest guest
Hi Aldyth, I think I've always been on the hyper side my whole life. But obviousely WAY more over the last few years. You know the reason I quit smoking 3 yrs ago this mothers day was because my resing heart rate was 120 bpm. I was confinced it was smoking that caused it and quit immediatly. My resting heart rate did improve I just got sooooo exhausted all the time. I believe I was dx with graves approx. 1 yr or so later. It's just wierd that thats how my hear rate feels now, but's it's only 80bpm. I cant get bloods drawn until sat, because I " m back in the academy for refresher and the lab closes before I get home. I 'm only in academy for 3 weeks and can not miss time there. I am feeling better, so I dont know if I should really rush into missing time off. Do you also think the sress of getting up an hour earlier/driving alot farther and just the the fact I have to refesh would cause me to act so off kilter?? I was thinking that that stress could have contributed, but then I'm like damm is that how I'm going to react to all srtessful things? I sure hope not. That would be way too much for me to handle. I dont know, I'm blaming my sore throat and work for now and I will hope for the best when I get my labs drawn. As soon as I get them I will post everything. Thanks for all your support Luci > Hi Luci > > I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I wanted to tell you that I too have times of feeling hyper...fully expect my blood test results back showing this and they come back in the normal range much to my surprise. > > A short while ago I was experiencing strongly beating heart and feelings of palpitations, yet my resting pulse was perfectly normal. I had a blood test and it was exactly the same as it was the previous time! > > I have found since being diagnosed with Graves that I am sensitive to any emotional strain. I too am just getting over a sore throat and very heavy head cold and it is taking it's time for my body to settle down again. I don't know if anyone else finds this, I am usually highly strung anyway but find that I can be even more so now. > > So for me when in doubt I have a blood test! > > Hope you have a good day today. > Aldyth > > Diagnosed August 2002.
