Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations to you and tte. It must be an exciting day. As for the 2 piece bathing suit, you could go swimming at your local YMCA or in Feb during school vacation, go to Florida. Just take me with you. Congratulations !!! Guest guest
and tte!!! Congradulations!! I know that as much as we're looking forward to that day, we're dreading it too! Any tips on how to get a g-tube kid to eat??? If you're taking votes, I'd go for the hotel thing!! Make it a big celebration, for a big accomplishment!! Hugs for you all!! Guest guest
, It is wonderful that you two are rid of that tube! I am so happy for you! You asked what to look out for... There is really nothing to look out for, except the dreaded stomach virus. But if she does get it and winds up in the hospital, then you have the IV to get her through and hopefully she will eat again quickly. Unfortunately for Max, up until this year, something like that would keep him in the hospital for weeks and we had no choice but to put another gtube in so that he could get out of the hospital more quickly. But that does not seem to be the case for you two. (Max has to go for 18 months without needing the use of the tube before we can pull it.) The other thing to look out for is to make sure she is continuing to eat and gain weight. But that is already happening. Again, I am so happy for you. What wonderful news! Guest guest
- I think it would be such a great idea to order a cute bikini from somewhere, Lands End or something, and get some portable heaters in a room in your house, get some fake paper palm trees and put them on your wall (my husband did all this for me one cold winter day when we had moved from CA to CT --- he turned our bathroom into a mini-Manhattan Beach -- with a cooler filled with cold beer, etc). You could have a little party to celebrate. Please pass on our congratulations to tte!!!
