Guest guest
A j-tube is a tube that goes into the small intestine, or jejunem (sp?). You use a button that looks just like the g-button, but it has two ports and two tubes - one to the stomach and one to the jejunem. Only formula can go into the j port. The g port is used to feedings and medication. I have some Farrell Valves here and we are not using them right now. If you would like, email me privately at magicrss @hotmail.com and I can send you a couple of them to try. You can also look them up on the internet. Do a Google search and it should lead you to the site. The FVs are expensive - like $15/set - but our insurance pays for them and we get them through a homecare company. I don't mind sending them to you to try and see if they work. You CAN use them with g-tube feedings overnight. (They are designed for overnight.) There is a port for the formula to go into the tubing and the tubing from the FV is hooked up to the g-port. I know it sounds complicated, but it is not. Do the search and you will be able to see what they are about. They are a godsend. Jodi Z
