Guest guest
Marty - My son used to be on albuterol too - but since going GFCF he hasn't needed it. We haven't noticed asthma coming back if he gets forbidden food, but I thought I would just tell you about myself. I have had asthma, allergies, reactive airways, allergic bronchitis - you name it. I went GFCF after my son did and I feel a ton, let me emphasis that A TON better. I am not 100% gluten free - I eat what I want out of the house - but I am 100% casein free and I have never felt better. I realize now that in the past during allergy season if I would eat ice cream or drink milk that my wheezing would be worse. I used an inhaller constantly during that time. I never made the connection until now - but if I do " cheat " and have milk or cheese now I get all stuffy in the head and end up wheezing. It's not worth it to me so I avoid the dairy completely. So - if you are wondering about the connection between wheezing and dairy I can confirm that they are definitely related. In fact I know that may doctors recommend removing dairy from a child's diet if they have recurring ear infections or asthma. A friend of mine had a pediatrician that recommended that for her child and it helped tremendously. Moira
