Guest guest
A special thanks to all those who wrote back to me. Thanks Jan if you hadnt given me that advice I wouldn't have asked for blood tests to be done. I found out today that Im now extremely Hypo. After being hyper for so long, I dont even want to know what this now means for my life. Its all becoming too too much. However, having said that, a BIG thanks to this group, I wouldnt know as much as I do if it wasnt for experiences of all those that share. And all those that take the time to be there for others. Guest guest
Hi Diane Glad you have some blood tests. I hope the Dr has started you on Thyroid replacement meds. I was started the day after my surgery so I wouldn't go hypo. " what does this mean for your life? " For me it means regular blood tests (not every 6 months or so), knowing my body and looking after myself. It is really important to get stablised as soon as possible. I can understand why you feel it is too much. You should not have been left to go hypo. Until your levels get back to normal, you may need to rest a bit more, you may help to get everyday things done, eg housework cooking etc. Watch you diet as putting on weight whilst hypo is common and get some gentle exercise. Hope you get well soon Caroline
