I do the FARM, and I love it! If you switch over, even part time, to some

enterprise that requires constant physical movement and work, I believe you will

improve. Five years ago, I could barely walk up a small slope. Now, I walk

up (slowly) big hills in the course of a day.

Thanks everyone for proving my little (temporary) paranoia wrong :-) It's

true, I've worked myself up to a good paced 2 1/2 mile hilly walk that doesn

t wind me too much - a year ago I couldn't have made it up my drive-way hill

without getting winded so bad I had to rest half way up. I'm going to start

doing some small weights and see how quickly my arms strengthen up now - you

would think picking up a 32 lb kid would do it, but no - I guess I put most

of his weight on my hips.

And thanks for the exercise program tips , and Jen - I'll have

to look into them too.

Hi Pam:

That reminds me of something that happened last month. I was at my

ayurvedic doctor's, and his son got on my back for a ride. It was

fine until I crouched down so that he could pet an animal - no way I

could get up again. I was so embarrassed, and in a low voice said " I

can't get up " several times. No one heard me, so I had to shout " I

CAN'T GET UP " before someone got the kid off me. I would like to get

myself to the point where I can rise up with a little boy on my back.

I will make that my new goal. . .
