Guest guest
Hey Jodi! Dr H is concerned about the same things with right now. He has been suffering from a chronic cough for over 3 months now, and nothing we do seems to be helping all that much. I am currently doing nebs of Zopenex every 4 hours, as well as his normal Pulmicort in the morning and evening, as instructed by his Pulmonologist. If things go like they have been, we will be able to wean him down to 4 treatments a day, and then only at morning and night with his Pulmicort, and then we'll be able to stop for a couple of days. Unfortunately, that is all we get!! A couple of days!!! And then he ends up sounding wet again, and then the wheezing starts, and we're back to the beginning. We have tried changing his reflux meds from 7.5mg of Prevacid twice a day, to 15mg of Prevacid in the morning and 3.9cc of Zantac at night. Since his wheezing occurs mostly in the mornings, we have recently switched the Prevacid to the night, and the Zantac to the morning. But it just doesn't seem to be working. Any other ideas anyone??? Talk to you soon! Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 30 months, 21.4#, 30.6 " , G-Tube)
