Guest guest
Yeah Tori! Sounds like it was meant to be! Hope it all goes smoothly and you meet you new little one very soon! P.S. If your doc hasn't mentioned it already, make sure they're going to check for Group B Strep around 34-36 weeks. I think they're much better about checking for this now, but it wasn't even mentioned when I had #1. Found out after he was born that I was positive for it (fortunately he was fine) and had to make sure to have it checked for #2 and #3. OT -- Hooray! > I've been doing my happy dance all day! The midwives agreed to allow me to > have my baby at the birth center! I'm so happy. The last week and a half have > been so stressful. I started exploring the idea of having the baby at the > birth center without really expecting to be allowed to birth there, but thinking > that it doesn't hurt to try. While I was waiting for an answer, I found out > that my OB was going on vacation for 10 days beginning the day after my due > date. She didn't even mention this to me even though I had told her how worried > I was that she wouldn't be the one to attend my baby's birth (one of her > partners freaks me out and I wouldn't want her anywhere near me during the birth). > I found out about her vacation when I was scheduling appts through the end > of the pregnancy, the scheduler mentioned that my OB would be out of town right > after my due date. I was stunned and extremely upset. The thought of > looking for a new OB during my 34th week was more than a little troubling to me. > But now, I know that my baby will be born in a peaceful, loving environment that > I feel completely safe and comfortable in. I feel a tremendous sense of > relief now and can finally stop worrying about all the things that freak me out > about hospitals and enjoy the last few weeks of my pregnancy.
