Guest guest
The ingredients for making your own cookies can be very expensive-yet it just depends on the products that you buy. I bought a bag of Tropical Source chocolate chips for $5.00 before I found out I could go to Walmart and buy their GFCF choc. chips for $1.50! Sometimes, though, you have to figure what your time is worth to you. Your personal choice. Good news, though! I have read that if you get a letter from your doctor stating that your child has to be on this diet and keep all your receipts from the HFS, you can deduct the difference in price for GFCF products as a medical expense on your taxes. So if you buy a bag of GFCF choc. chip cookies at the HFS for $5.00 and the grocery store sells Chips Ahoy for $3.00, you can deduct $2.00! You can even deduct your mileage to the HFS! Check with your accountant! __________________________________________________
