Jodi R,

The food is called Beech Nut First Advantage. I was able to get it through my

local grocery store, but if you can not get it, I would be happy to bring you

a few jars to try out. Good luck, and let me know!

I found this also in my grocery store...

But let me ask your opinion...I asked the nutritionist about this

because it has dried egg yolk in most or all of them and she said

not to use it until they are 1 year old...I do understand this, but

why would Beech Nut put it in the food if it were so bad??

I have a few jars, but stopped using it for now.

Sheryl - I also use the Beech Nut first advantage - I emailed a rep from beech

nut and she did warn me about the dried egg yolk and followed it up with stating

that children typically are allergic to egg whites, not the yolk. She did state

that babies should have tried the variety of step 1 foods first before moving

onto this, as with any step 2 food. I have been using it with for the

past 6 weeks - no problems. Good Luck - see you in Chicago

Dr H encouraged us to add egg yolk to anything we could get down

from the age of 9 months on. She said he needed the extra calories and

proteins..
