I finished the radiation treatments 5 days ago and the only difference I

notice so far is my vision is significantly worse. Double vision is just as

bad,

but now I also have very blurry vision. They said that's not unusual because

the radiation causes some swelling of its own and it should improve over the

next few weeks. I sure hope so!! But they said they won't know for 6 months

to a year if it worked or not.

I''m glad to hear that Janice. How long has it been since your radiation? I

go back for a check up with the eye doc and the radiation doc on August 27th.

It seems a lot of us have these. Curious if they are related to TED. I got

mine just a couple of months before the TED flared up last fall.

Graves disease 1979; treated with RAI; exothalmia 1982, treated with IV

steroids; since then on one or another form of replacement hormone. New flare

up

of TED with severe double vision, swelling in intraocular muscles and

inflammation in August of 2002. Currently hypoactive. Treated TED with

prednisone.

It worked while on prednisone, but TED came back worse after. Underwent

Orbital radiation June-July 2003. No change yet.

I'm sorry to hear your vision is so blurry It's been about 2

months since I finished the radiation My vision was so cloudy and

blurry before radiation that I really didn't notice it being any

worse Do you use the prisms ? I know as they switched me to the

higher number prism it caused the blurriness to be much worse and if

I forgot about taking the flax oil and anti oxidant they really were

a mess I wish you luck and hope you see an improvement Janice
