We had our first visit with Dr. H yesterday. Our appt was at 10 am

but she saw us only at 11.45.

She befriended Kedhar (who hates doctors) immediately with her box

of toys. Then she and I were chatting (ie giving our bachground

etc). She examined Kedhar. We were with her for 3.5 hours (yes,

three and a half!). She even examined me and told me to go to an

endocrinologist.

The result: He is SGA not RSS. So, all treatment options will be

the same. She put him on zantac. prilosec for reflux. She suspects

he has silent reflux. Then she will put him on periactin and later

GH.

She was very glad that I had already met many of the RSS/SGA

parents. It was amazing how she knew each one of the kids I

mentioned.
