Guest guest
I was wondering the same thing. My son has Down Syndrome, which has some similarities to Autism. Toni
Guest guest
, I have 3 children, and for ease I put all of them (and myself) on the diet. My middle child has always been extremely anxious, fearful and obviously DSI (SID?). As an infant she refused to be cuddled, if you can imagine. She hated getting dirty/wet/touched. She also struggled with chronic constipation. Although I wasn't expecting any *results* with her, she is now playing in the rain, in bare feet. She is coming in filthy from playing outside and laughing about it. She is hanging by her knees from the jungle gym. She fell the other day -- the child who used to shriek if anyone so much as touched her or gently bumped into her just got up, shook herself off, said *ouch* and went on with her day. She has turned into a snuggle bunny who loves cuddling and doesn't shy away from a peck on the forehead. Soooo ... I say go for it! It won't hurt, and it may be wonderful! BTW my brain fog is gone (not to mention chronic constipation), my son's language delays have disappeared completely, and his aggression only returns when we slip up on the diet. My other daughter's subclinical seizures/spaciness *seem* to only occur when we have an infringement -- this one I'm not 100% confident about because it could be wishful thinking on my part and her neurologist says *no way*. > I' just bought Seroussi's book, even tho my son is not on " the > spectrum " officially. He has SID/anxiety/sleep/language problems, > but no social probs. I also have ADHD (don't take meds tho).
