Guest guest
(It could also be that her T4 is high but she's not converting and has very little T3.) The Endo should be able to add cytomel which is T3. Adding cytomel to my synthroid made all the difference in the world for me. If I remember right, your original post about this was many weeks ago. You aunt hasn't gotten help from this doc yet? Guest guest
Hi, Where do these ideas come from? Only use Armour in hyper?? Perhaps your aunt could confuse this doctor more by asking for Cylert in addition to her T4. There are several articles dating from '98 explaining how many of us need supplemental T3. If finding a new doc is too much of a problem, perhaps you could find your aunt an abstract or article to take along. Last time i checked the synthroid web site had a very good article explaining this. Increasing T4 doesn't necessarily help with conversion. Usually people end up with symptoms of T4 toxicity and still have symptoms of T3 deficiency. Glad you're there to help your aunt. Best, Elaine
