Guest guest
Hi , Sometimes, how you feel is the best criteria. If you're feeling good now, you may now want to do anything. A fellow toxicologist mentioned that he heard that Armour caused a rise in thryoid antibodies, but I have never found any documentation for this. And he can't remember where he heard this. I think I would wait and have another set of labs in 4 weeks before doing anything differently, unless you start to feel hyperT symptoms. Then you'd want to make the switch sooner. If you switch to levothyroxine, you shouldn't have to wean and then start off slow. You just might want a comparable dose. But now that you mention, 120 mg of Armour, that does seem rather high for block and replace. You might ask you doctor about moving to 90 mg Armour if you decide to change anything. Take care, Elaine
