Guest guest
, I used to work in Stamford, and we used to rent a house right on the Westport border! (It's waaaay too expensive to own a house in southern Fairfield County these days, so we had to move up north!). What a small world! It must feel even smaller now that an RSS family you already knew moved to your small town. How great to have a local support system! Thank you for Dr. Harbison's info!! Just to clarify: Is she a geneticist, or a pediatric endocrinologist? From what I've read in the archives, she seems to cover all the bases, from hormone treatments to nutritional info./gastrointestinal medicines. Really sounds like someone who looks at the " whole " child. Marcy K.
Guest guest
Marcy, I just have to jump in here and say Hi, I am sure will be answering your questions. But you gave me a chuckle this am! Dr. H is a pediatric endocrinologist, and yes, she looks at the " whole " child. And the " whole " family, and the " whole " everything. SHe is the expert in RSS/SGA kids in the states and she knows everything. The only snag you'll hear from any of us, she is very opiniated and will tell you exactly what you and your local doctors should do. SOmetimes that is both hard to hear, and hard to implement! If you can see her, GO. You won't be disappointed and for all of her directness - she loves these kids and is so dedicated to all of our families.
